Who is the pastor?

Our Senior Pastor is Bobby Cruz Jr. He became Senior Pastor of CDA Miami in 1999, continuing the work that his father, Bobby Cruz began in 1980. Bobby Jr. is an engaging speaker whose passion is to lead people in a growing relationship with Jesus. He has five children and he lives with his wife Ana in Doral, FL.

What is Starting Point?

Starting Point is a casual gathering where people who are new to our church can meet with several of our leaders to discuss any questions they may have about faith, our church, or how to take their next step towards growing in a relationship with Jesus Christ.

How does someone become a member of CDA Miami?

We do not offer official membership at CDA Miami. We consider a church attender to be a congregant once they’ve decided to take a step to support our mission and vision either through giving, serving or participating in a small group.

What precautions are you taking during the COVID-19 pandemic?

We have taken many measures to make our in-person gatherings as safe as possible.

  • We limit the number of in-person attendees to a safe number to allow proper distancing. That is why we require attendees to register through our website, cdamiami.org. 

  • A temperature check on the arm is performed at the entrance for each guests.

  • Guests wait in line outside our gathering room until they are led by an usher to a seat with the name of their party. 

  • Once inside, guests are encouraged to stay in their seats and not walk about the room.

  • The surfaces inside the room are sanitized after each service.

  • Every week, the room is sprayed with a commercial disinfectant mist.

  • The A/C ducts have ultraviolet lights and specialized filters designed to kill up to 99% of airborne contaminants.

What is the vision of CDA Miami?

The vision of the organization is to create a relationally-driven organization to help people with their growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

What do you have for kids?

Our CDA Miami Kids Ministry meets in person every Saturday at 7pm during our Saturday night adult service. Register here to attend in person.

Every Sunday we publish a video lesson for Kids on our YouTube channel and our social media accounts.

We also gather every Wednesday through Zoom at 5pm for preschoolers, and 6pm for elementary-aged kids.

How can I get married?

Congratulations! Marriage is a gift from God to a man and a woman, and it is a vehicle through which He is ultimately glorified. For us to begin the process of assigning a minister to perform your wedding, please fill out the form below.

What are your service times?

We have in-person services:

  • Saturdays 7pm

  • Sundays 9am & 11am

What is Planning Center?

Planning center is our church management software. We use it to plan our weekend services, schedule volunteers, communicate with our church, track donations, register for events and more. In short, Planning Center is a tool that helps us better serve and care for the people that God has entrusted to our organization.

How do we follow up with guests?

At CDA Miami, our first-time guests are always considered VIP’s. We make sure they always get a gift that is memorable. After their first visit, our guests receive follow-up through emails and phone calls. We try not to be annoying. We simply want to show our appreciation for their visit and offer any help we can to help them take the next step.

Do you have Bible classes?

Yes. Our Bible classes are seasonal and they are available for in-person attendance as well as through Zoom. Registration is required and typically a 4-class Bible study will have a cost of $20. For up-to-date information on what classes are available visit our What’s Happening page.

How do I volunteer at CDA Miami?

Volunteering is a great way to grow in your relationship with Jesus, and at CDA Miami, we make it easy and fun. Simply fill out this form to get started. A member of our staff will contact you soon to help you take the next step.

How do we care for our volunteers?

Our volunteers are the driving force of everything we do at CDA Miami and we care for them in many ways. They are cared for spiritually by their department heads and pastors. Spiritual health is always more important than simply getting the job done. They are cared for physically through systems and programs that help them shine in their area of ministry. They are cared for relationally through frequent gestures of appreciation from our leaders and staff.

What do you have for youth?

Our Youth Group meets Fridays in person at CDA The Warehouse from 8-10 pm. The gathering is also transmitted through Zoom. Click below to get updates.
